  4. Enclosed in this archive is version 5.01.00 of AMIGANTT, a simple project
  5. definition and management tool developed for the Amiga (TM).  Please read
  6. through this file and the documentation file before beginning to use the
  7. program.

  9. This is the 5th general release of AmiGantt
  10. available to registered users and other shareware afficianatoes.
  11. Thanks to the SAS Institute for their version 6.50 C compiler,
  12. many new features of have been added while maintaining the size of the
  13. program to still less than 200K!

  46. Version 5.00.00 and above of AmiGantt makes use of functions within the
  47. ASL and other libraries found only in WB 2.04 and above of the Amiga 
  48. Operating System.  This version WILL NOT operate on version 1.3 of the
  49. Workbench.

  60. Known Anomolies:
  61.  1.  The Pert Chart is generated by starting at the last task in the project
  62.       (denoted by the latest starting date) and working backwards through the
  63.       dependency network.  If you have tasks which are not connected in some
  64.       way to the last task, then they will not show up on the Pert Chart.
  65.  
  66.   2.  Although the top line in a Pert Chart is normally the critical path, for
  67.       ease of display, AmiGantt puts the path with the greatest number of tasks
  68.       at the top of the Pert.  In most cases, this will also be the critical
  69.       but not always.  The Sort on Critical Path and Identify Critical Path
  70.       options work correctly, selecting the path which has the longest planned
  71.       duration.

  73.   3.  Sorry, but because of difficulties in adjusting the text for use in
  74.       the Gantt chart, I've had to force the screen text font to topaz 8 for the
  75.       time being.

  77.   4.  A number of A4000 owners have encountered problems with the menu highlighting
  78.       not following the pointer.  My suspicion is that this is something to do
  79.       with using the scan-doubling modes in the AGA chip set.  I think I'm using
  80.       standard Intuition interfaces, so all I can suggest right now is for these
  81.       people to try setting their Preferences default to NTSC HiRes Interlaced
  82.       (640 x 400) and see what happens.  Please let me know of your results!
